FOOD SERVICE MANAGER/HEAD COOK
Enemy Swim Day School is looking for a full time Food Service Manager/Head Cook. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and serve breakfast and lunch meals for students that meet the nutritional guidelines of the South Dakota Child and Adult Nutrition Services Program. Maintain accurate daily production records, recipes, and food labels as required by Child & Adult Nutrition Services. Plan and publish monthly breakfast and lunch menu plans. Oversee and monitor the acquisitions and purchases of food, supplies and equipment items necessary to conduct a cost-effective food program. Maintain an accurate inventory of all food program supplies with an annual inventory submitted to the Business Office on June 30th. Purchase food, supplies and equipment according to school purchasing policies and within the adopted budgets. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma (or GED) and at least 3 years relevant experience in food service. Must be willing to complete (or have recently completed) at least 8 hours of food safety training not more within 30 days of start date. Knowledge of the school food service rules and regulations regarding: CANS, NSLP, SBP, FFV, and sanitary procedures. Continued updating of skills by participation in the Child and Adult Nutrition Service Program training each summer until completed. This position includes benefits and is open until filled. EARLY CHILDHOOD PRESCHOOL CO-TEACHER
Enemy Swim Day School has an opening for an Early Childhood Preschool Co-Teacher. Duties include providing support to the Early Childhood teacher in the center-based preschool classroom, assisting in creating a strong learning environment where children can develop and thrive. Help plan and co-teach early childhood class under supervision of teacher. Lead the classroom in the temporary absence of the Early Childhood teacher. Assist the teacher in completing the required student assessments. Model appropriate adult-child interactions during PACT (Parent and Child Together) Time. Help plan and facilitate Parent Time sessions. Work as a member of the FACE team: recruiting, advertising, visiting families, writing newsletter articles, etc. to publicize program and encourage participation. Facilitate regular child screenings and referrals as necessary. Complete required monthly reports, end-of-year report, and data collection for BIE. Keep program materials, equipment, and records secure and free from unwarranted wear and tear or vandalism. Maintain accurate records as required by program, school, and community. Attend staff meetings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent required, complete 48 semester hours (Early Childhood preferred).
