Enemy Swim Day School has the following employment opportunities for 2025-2026 school year:

The Enemy Swim Day School Board requires a background check before an individual can be hired for any position, full-time, part-time, or substitute.  Please call the school to request a background packet be mailed to you or you may stop by the school and pick one up.

Para Educator

Enemy Swim Day School has an opening for a Para Educator.  Duties include assisting in the classroom, assisting teaching staff, working with Instructional staff, reporting and other duties.  Must have post-secondary education, an AA degree or equivalent or successfully pass the ParaPro Assessment.  ESDS can assist with ParaPro Assessment preparation, if needed. This position includes benefits and is open until filled.  Call (605) 947-4605 or (888) 825-7738 and ask for Dr. Eastman to inquire about the position. Early Childhood Preschool Co-Teacher

Enemy Swim Day School has an opening for an Early Childhood Preschool Co-Teacher. Duties include providing support to the Early Childhood teacher in the center-based preschool classroom, assisting in creating a strong learning environment where children can develop and thrive. Help plan and co-teach early childhood class under supervision of teacher. Lead the classroom in the temporary absence of the Early Childhood teacher. Assist the teacher in completing the required student assessments. Model appropriate adult-child interactions during PACT (Parent and Child Together) Time. Help plan and facilitate Parent Time sessions. Work as a member of the FACE team:  recruiting, advertising, visiting families, writing newsletter articles, etc. to publicize program and encourage participation. Facilitate regular child screenings and referrals as necessary. Complete required monthly reports, end-of-year report, and data collection for BIE. Keep program materials, equipment, and records secure and free from unwarranted wear and tear or vandalism. Maintain accurate records as required by program, school, and community. Attend staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent required, complete 48 semester hours (Early Childhood preferred). Experience:  Early Childhood (ages 0-5) experience and working with adults/families is preferred.

PART-TIME DAKOTA LANGUAGE FLUENT SPEAKER

Qualifications: Fluency in Dakota Language.  Will work with the school Dakota Language teachers and may work along with the teacher with students on Dakota Language conversation.  For more information about the position call (605) 947-4605 or (888) 825-7738 and ask for Dr. Eastman.   This position is for the school year and includes benefits. SUBSTITUTE

Substitute workers will periodically cover shifts for regular staff absences. This is temporary, on call work. Must have a phone, pass background checks, GED or high school diploma is required to work in the classroom.
